LIFE IN THE ORCHARD
What it's like to live in The Orchard.
Tucked between Appleby Line and Bronte Creek Provincial Park, from Upper Middle Road up to Dundas, The Orchard is a quiet, family-friendly corner of north-east Burlington with ravines, woodlots and a park around just about every corner. It was built in the 1990s and 2000s on land that was once the Dryden family's fruit orchard, which is where the name comes from (and why you'll find a Dryden Avenue). It's one of Burlington's most family-friendly neighbourhoods, with schools within walking distance, quiet streets for bikes and scooters and a park just about always close by.
Bronte Creek Provincial Park sits right along the east side, so trails and nature are never far. For commuters, Appleby GO and Bronte GO are both close, and the 407 is just north of Dundas.
THE HOMES
A mix of homes for every stage.
The Orchard has a nice mix of homes: detached two-storeys, semis, link homes and townhomes, with a mix of single- and double-car garages, plus newer condos along Appleby Line. That range makes it a great neighbourhood for a first move-up home as well as a forever family home.
Detached homes have recently sold around $1.2 to $1.3 million. Prices change with the market, so reach out anytime for a current snapshot.
MY LOCAL FAVOURITES
