LIFE IN SHOREACRES
What it's like to live in Shoreacres.
Shoreacres sits between Walkers Line and Appleby Line, from New Street right down to the lake. It's almost entirely residential, with quiet streets that are easy to walk or bike, and Lakeshore Road and Shoreacres Road are lined with some of the most beautiful homes in the city.
At the heart of the neighbourhood is Paletta Lakefront Park, about 14 acres of gardens, trails and lakefront with a restored 1930s stone mansion at its centre. When it's time to get somewhere, Appleby GO and the QEW are just a few minutes north.
THE HOMES
Big lots, tall trees, room to grow.
Shoreacres is known for its big lots, often around 60 feet wide or more, and the mature trees that come with them. Two-storey family homes are a big part of the neighbourhood, along with 1950s and 60s bungalows and side-splits, many of them lovingly updated, and large custom builds and lakefront estates on Lakeshore and Shoreacres Road.
Over the years, more and more buyers have renovated or rebuilt on these generous lots, so the neighbourhood has a lovely mix of classic and brand new. Most homes trade roughly between $1.5 million and $3 million+, with lakefront properties well above that.
